Live Healthy to Lose Weight
Welcome, we are so excited to begin! These weekly videos (below) will provide you with valuable nutrition information to guide you through the program. Please review the video below by pressing the watch button. This week's theme is to "Live Healthy to Lose Weight" as opposed to losing weight to be healthy and is an introduction to the Mediterranean Meal Pattern. You will learn about how the Med Diet integrates with everyday life here in the US. Aside from nutritional lifestyle changes, we want you to focus on your physical fitness. We want you to focus on finding at least one thing positive about every new situation to help you find fulfillment in the activity, such as exercise or cooking. Change your mind and you will change your world.

Food Tip: Starting something new always seems difficult at first. Remember not to compare or compete with our previous selves. It is about being a little bit healthier today than we were yesterday. Start with small goals to bridge you toward achieving your larger goals.
Fit Tip: Prioritize consistency over intensity. It is better to walk 5 days per week for 30 minutes (150 minutes total) than to walk 2 days per week for 60 minutes (120 minutes total) leaving us too sore to go on.
